How to proceed Democrats might ask?
Answer.... double Down. Get mean. Take the low road.

After this McConnell senate fully acquits Donald Trump with choosing to blow the system up, Democrats will no longer have one reason to play the game fair or honorably.
Democrats on day one after the impeachment acquittal must begin referring to Donald Trump as THIS ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT.
Democrats must begin referring to the entire republican senate as THIS ILLEGITIMATE REPUBLICAN SENATE.
Every time, every singe time that democrats refer to this president or refer to this republican senate in print or in media, democrats must use the word ILLEGITIMATE.
When the state of the union comes up in January and Donald Trump strolls into the room, democrats all of them must loudly BOO and chant ILLEGITIMATE, ILLEGITIMATE, ILLEGITIMATE.
Do Not give Donald Trump one chance to speak one single word.
Democrats.... never give a damn what republican media thinks or what republican leaders may say about democrats new found freedom of speech.

Again, the very moment this republican senate acquits this president then this entire republican senate and this president will become fully illegitimate.
Because of the republicans, all bets are off.
The constitution no longer having legitimacy.
The intensions of our founding fathers no longer having legitimacy.
Once this republican senate blows up our US constitution by refusing to hold lawful legitimate impeachment trial proceedings as required by the founding fathers and by our US constitution, then thanks to republicans America no longer has a constitution nor legitimate branches of government.

Everyone should have seen this coming.
After all, Mitch McConnell has pulled this crap before.
Mitch McConnell pulled this stunt against president Obama over the US Supreme Court.
Mitch McConnell has no more respect for our founding fathers nor our Us constitution than does Vladimir Putin.
Donald Trump should be impeached and Mitch McConnell should be kicked out.
Neither of the two respect America law, respect American institutions, or respect the American people.

And at every opportunity democrats MUST remind every American of the fact that Mitch McConnell's republican senate and Donald Trump as acing president are in fact ILLEGITIMATE.
If I were Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, or part of the democrat leadership I would go as far to completely boycott and refuse to cooperate with anything and everything this republican congress plans to take up.
I would refuse to debate any law.
I would refuse to vote any law.
I would refuse to pass any law.
I would refuse to support or take part in anything of this ILLEGITIMATE republican congress or of this ILLEGITIMATE acting president.
Democrats need to be as hard-ass as Mitch McConnell is and has proven to be time after time.
Boycott, boycott, boycott EVERYTHING REPUBLICAN.
Then, when democrats are asked why, democrats need only reply THEY ARE ILLEGITIMATE and democrats never associate with ILLEGITIMACY.
PERIOD!
I'l still holding out hope, Mulvaney, Bolton, Gulliani and Pompeo will be required to testify. I think you can get a few GOP Senators to vote guilty but not enough for removal. That would make Democrat takeover of the Senate and the White House in 2020 likely. That's fine with me.

If there is ANY integrity left in the system at all, Roberts will disqualify McConnell and Graham from participating due to their publicly stated bias.
I don't think he can do that. It might be nice, but I think not. What Roberts can do is call into question anything presented in the trial which is why Mitch doesn't want any evidence. But given an opening Roberts can properly stick his foot in this mess.

Why would Mitch want that?

Aww, c'mon. We love the craven displays of corrupt obeisance to Trump. The best part is that they seem to think they can look good licking his shit covered boots.

Speaking of which...

This silly bitch just reaffirmed every negative stereotype about the intelligence of blonds. She probably thanks you for the refill when you blow in her ear.

GOP lawmaker humiliated after accusing several members of Congress of voting to impeach Trump — before they were in office.

The Arizona GOP was bug-copulation crazy before being bug-copulation crazy was cool in the GOP.

the senate will acquit. this whole thing is a huge waste of time and tax payers money.

Please start crying about all the taxpayer funded trips to maralago and flying his kids around on globetrotting vacations, post up the actual cost of the impeachment investigation to enforce the rule of law, then come back here and sing your song.

Is the cost equal to the cost incurred so trump can go golfing yet? Is it quite up to the tax applied to the farmers bailout due to failed tariff policy? Anything close to our annual budget deficit we are sucking up in Trumps "record" economy?

It's the one bill (out of over two hundred passed by the House this session) that Moscow Mitch will bring to the floor of the Senate for a vote so it can't be all bad.

So it's the "if I can't have my way I'll hold my breath and kick my feet" approach. I'll be curious to see how that works out.

If I oppose a autocracy authoritarian rule and psyops warfare from moscow... then kicking ones feet is probably in the light end of the spectrum.

It's like the poignant Brando script-lines -- Steinbeck's screenplay -- for "Viva Zapata!": "Your leaders are just men, like yourselves. They change. They desert. They die . . " We're all sitting on pins and needles every time RBG goes to the hospital.

So, yeah, Roberts could disqualify McConnell and Graham. Or -- something else could happen. The suspense is a killer. I blame Trump for fucking up my news-mornings in my sunset years.

Any decision Roberts makes can be over ruled by 51 votes. So, yes, he can do it, bit it can also be over ruled.

This impeachment, regardless the outcome has brought to light some very serious flaws with our constitution where Impeachment is concerned.

I don't think the Founders imagined that over half the Senate would ever be as craven as the modern GOP. They assumed that most of those elected would have at least some principles & respect for their duty to the Constitution. They couldn't be right about everything.

Maybe, but you could say that about the Normandy Landing.

The issue is really quite clear: Who or what is responsible for this huge waste of time and tax payers money?

Hillary? For having baggage, acting too much like a lawyer, miscalculating Benghazi, having a home server at the Chappaqua home -- domestics ordering from grocery stores and Home Depot online, and deleting a million Sears and Lowe's ads? For having a respectable time as a Senator and then again as Secretary of State?

Or Trump? A malignant narcissist, mid-generation of three generations of tax-cheats, KKK bigots, corrupters of lawyers, tax-frauds and scam artists? With no altruistic history but for giving to his own phony charity, and absolutely no public service experience?

The Democrats? For having a conscience about their Constitutional responsibilities?

Or the Base? WWWF, SPEED channel and NFL fanatics, who are angry because they don't have a Winnebago in the driveway, and who think all domestic federal expenditures are being flushed down a black-hole-toilet of minority welfare dependency and food-stamp free-loaders?

WHO has cost us all this time and money? Because -- truly -- time is also money, and we are witnessing the deterioration of an entire world order, the evaporation of Trust, and any sense of a reasonably stable future.

Fuckin a.

What'll happen? Same thing that happened when Clinton was impeached. We move on.

However, AFTER the presidency it could get interesting. Or not. No one really knows.
Clinton favorability ratings were also above 60%. Made him even stronger. Not going to happen to a maybe 40 per center.

Works for the Republicans because that is the average level of intelligence of their voters. Doesn't work so well for Dems.

After the acquittal, be invested heavily in the following:
1. Safe space real estate
2. Vagina Suits
3. Dildos
4. Butt hurt ointment

Reasons? An election is coming and he's gonna win again. ;)

Take a look again. That biomechanical fat suit he is wearing is the very definition of tired and worn out. 5 more years from now? Good luck with that.
