I use an electric razor and shave every 2 or 3 days. I've been shaving for about 4 years now. Anyway, it seems like whenever I shave I always get razor-burn on my neck.

I'm welcome to any tips on how to avoid this.

Thanks guys :)

exfoliate your face/neck a few times a week, put a hot (not burning) wash cloth on your face first to open up your pores and moisturize with an oil free moistruizer afterwards and everyday, even if you don't shave that day.

By exfoliation i mean, get a face wash that has little cleansing beads that with slough off the dead skin then, it will not irriate your skin later.
Nivea for Men has a good line that helps this problem.

Would you rather have a gross red rash on your neck or secretly give up your manliness for a few minutes everyday to have touchable soft skin for the ladies?!

I found an awesome solution to this problem. It was suprisingly simple.

My solution:
Bought a Gilette Fusion power. Best razor in the world, bar none. Almost all irritation disappeared compared to Mach 3, and the horrible Quattro.
I don't think I can ever use any other product.

She's saying women are superficial and you must look good to get their attention.

Shave after you take a shower, it softens your skin and reduces irritation.

I shave after a shower all the time with a normal Mach 3 razor with no shaving cream/gel. It doesn't hurt, doesn't irritate and is even faster than standard shaving, because you don't get as "gunked up" as fast.

Stop shaving

Or you can shave in the shower with a non-electric. That's what I do, I may get razor burn once every few weeks if the blade is getting dull.

Interesting... a brand-new Quattro just tore up my face today.

FTW!

Naw, you don't have to grow a beard if you stop shaving. You can trim it very close on a daily basis and never have razor burn or ingrown hairs again.
