Don't be a panzy who gets motion sickness w/o actually moving. Either that, or stop playing Quake while on your boat.

Hmm...

all I can say is make sure your getting more then 60FPS, and the monitor refresh rate is set to a flicker free rate. AND keep playing till you get used to it. :)

I've never heard that one...unless the framerate is too low. That is a good cause.

Half-Life was the only game that really made me sick after playing it for awhile. My stomach would just start to feel queasy and I would have to stop playing. Now, I have been able to play other games just fine, even CS. I don't know if it was the colors or the infamous refresh rate problem with nVidia drivers. Since then I have applied the patch to fix the refresh rate but I have not played Half-Life since then, only CS. All I can say is that you have the refresh rate set high enough and that you are getting respectible FPS.

I had that problem to. I just took a break from playing when it happened and eventually it didn't happen anymore.

Other than 4xFSAA, framerate isn't a problem for me ;)

I used to always get motion sickness but then I just didn't heed my discomfort like any smart person would, and eventually I didn't get it anymore.

I get this sometimes on certain FPS games. I hadn't thought about the framerate. I'm gonna test that out.

Motion sickness from a FPS? Maybe I'm out of the loop but I've never even heard of this.
