I've turned off all fans and still have dust on almost every part of the case I'm painting... I ran some steel wool over the surface between coats and it took off most of ths tuff, but left some thin pieces of wire from the wool.

Any good way to protect the surface from dust other than a clean room? :)

Also, I'm using regular krylon and it's taking hella long to dry? How long does this stuff take to not to tacky?

From my experience with spray paint, I would wait about 3 days just to make sure, also try baking your metal parts in a oven for about an hour on 130-150degrees. Then let them cool down for about an hour and set them somewhere to finish drying for about 2-3 days if you can. Also if you wanna protect that spray paint, get some spray clear coat for them, this will keep chipping to a minimum, and make the paint look even better.
