i have this 970 card. it has 8 and 6 power input.

the power supply has two of the 8 power output. one of them already goes into the motherboard. i tried to insert the other into the video card and it refuses to go in the 8pin molex of vid card. in fact, none of the power supply output can fit into this video card. my PS is a seasonic as seen here, (not my ebay) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seasonic-S...ply-M12II-80-Modular-ATX-/161754244616?_ul=SV

what do i need to make it work? pls advise with links

You're using the wrong cable, they are both for the CPU.

Watch this vid:

At 1:20 when she says 6+2 pin PCI-E connector, that's the one you have to use for the 8 pin power input.

Above poster is correct. You're trying to use the 4+4pin CPU power cable, when what you need is two 6+2pin PCI-E power cables for the graphics card.

oh wow. thats the exact power supply i have too!
so it looks like i will need to use the first 2 cables she mentioned at 1:13?

so i will need this http://www.btosinte.com/OEM-Seasonic-6pin-to-62pin-PCIe-connector-Modular-Cable-OEM-662PCIe.htm
and this? http://www.btosinte.com/OEM-for-Seasonic-6pin-to-6pin-PCIe-connector-Modular-Cable-OEM-66PCIe.htm

Yes, assuming your PSU is the "older version" of the M12II-620, those should work. Also there is no harm in just getting two 6pin to 6+2pin PCI-E connectors, instead of one 6pin to 6+2pin and one 6pin to 6pin. 6+2pin will also work with 6pin slot.
