how to position case fans????

My setup is as follows, 2 80mm fans in the front 1 80mm in the back and a 120mm exhaust on my psu.
I am planning on having the 2 front ones pull air into the case, push the air over the HD and from there into the case and have the back one be exhaust, but then I have no source of room air blowing on the processor or even near it on the other hand if I don't use it as exhaust I only have the PSU as exhaust.
The front ones are behind the front panel so using them as exhaust would be very ineffective since the one next to it would pretty much suck the exhaust air right back into the case.
BTW I'm using quietfans so they don't push as much air as it is.
Any and all help/suggestions are welcome!!!
P.S. Please don't suggest that I get a new case cause believe me if I could afford it I would have done it a long time ago!!!

Your front-to-back air flow path is fine.

The single 80mm rear exhaust limits air flow to approximately the flow rate of the rear exhaust fan. 'Quiet' fans are low-flow fans. I'd forget about 'quiet' for the rear exhaust fan, replacing it with a high flow-rate fan to reduce that flow path restriction.

PS fans do draw air from the case, but generally their flow rate is quite low. They really don't contribute much to overall case cooling.

Suggestions for increased flow rate:
- Remove case fan grills (diagonal-cutting plier or metal snips or dremel).
- Remove or relieve restrictive case front bezel intake air-flow restriction.
- Use low-restriction front input filter media (or remove and clean often).
- Replace rear 80mm exhaust fan with high-flow fan (Panaflo M1A, etc.).

The best filter media I've found is pleated (accordion-fold) furnace filter media, but it's about 1" thick since it's folded to increase surface area. Excellent combination of low restriction with excellent dust-trapping, but it may take some imagination to get it into your case.

Hope this helps!

You could always mod the case, cut a hole in the sidepannel and strap a 120mm fan or two on. Enlarge the rear hole to fit a 120mm fan, remove all the grills to increase airflow.

Don't forget the basics, ie think about tidying up the wiring to minimise turbulence, that sort of thing.

Thanks for the responses!
I was wondering if maybe I should make all 3 fans into intake fans and then get a PCI slot exhaust fan.
Your thoughts please!
