Yea, so I got the game DLed and set up (thx)

two probs:

*sound and music doesn't work.. (i have SantaCruz) only option they have is Soundblaster and AWE and so on
*game doesn't run at all under XP

how can i bypass these probs?
Is there a way I can just boot my PC without loading XP and play? or am I just screwed because my HD is NTFS?

for the XP issue, did you try changing compatibility. right click on the icon, go to properties and under compatibility change to an older version like win98 or win95.

i'm not sure about the sound

Unfortunately, their compatibility list doesn't show Duke3D (wtf?) while it does for Doom, Wolfenstein etc..

I've tried Compatibility mode and even ran XP compatibility wizard..

I've tried these modes
:Windows 95
:Windows 98/ME
:Windows NT
:Windows 2000

none of them work!!!!

am I screwed? Is there a way to play this game from booting up without loading XP? or there is no such thing in XP?
