How to Personalize Mac OS X by Customizing Themes

The Mac OS X has many hidden features that makes the user’s experience truly amazing. Ever had to use your MacBook in the dark and thought that there is too much light on the screen even when the brightness is lowered? Or if you set a dark colored wallpaper, the colors of the toolbar at the top and bottom don’t match? There is a quick trick to fix this problem by personalizing your Mac OS X.
Here are some quick steps to do it.

Step 1
Open your ‘System Preferences’ Tab

Go to the menu bar at the bottom of your screen and find the ‘System Preferences’ button. Click on it to open the ‘System Preferences’ tab.

Step 2
Open the ‘General’ Menu

In the 'System Preferences' window, click on the ‘General’ option.

Step 3
Locate the ‘Personalization’ option

In the ‘General’ window, you will find the ‘Apperance’ option along with its sub option ‘Use dark menu bar and Dock’.

Step 4
Enable Use Dark Menu bar and ‘Dock’ option

Click on the small box located next to the ‘Use dark menu bar and dock’ option and it will be ticked. If you have followed the steps correctly, the color of the menu bars at the top and bottom should have changed to a darker color.
