how to password protect documents on NTFS

just interested in protecting files (Word, excel, folders) with pw. It doesn't have to be 1337h4X0R-proof, just that you have to enter a password to open it.

can't you do this?

yes, microsoft office has built-in password protection. when you click save-as, just click into general options and it will have password option

hope this helps

btw, wrong forum 😛

thanks, but can you do it in windows for a whole folder? pron folder, for example?

and the software forum would get me a decent answer in about a year

that you'd have to use something else like a 3rd party software, I don't think windows has this support natively. If you put the whole folder on NAS and password protect that...it might work
