Recommendations anyone? I am about to endevour on painting my case a color I like, but I dont want my drives sticking out like sore thumbs.

I will also be painting my keyboard and mouse. Is there anyplace online where I can buy clear plastic stickers to match keyboard letters/numbers/symbols? (I know where all the keys are, if I ever deside to sell my whole setup, I want it all to match for a higher reselling value.)

Thanks all :)

wel...
you can get vinyl dye.

basically, you cover what you want colored with it, or emerse it, as long its plastic (poly vinyl chloride) ... and the plastic gets dyed...

a painted case does not get you a higher resell value... wtf cares...

I'm sure you can find vinyl dye in Alaska. Virtually every automotive store i've ever seen carries it. Vinyl dye is good stuff, because it sprays evenly even if you don't. Plus you can peel it off in one big piece if you get tired of the color, need warranty work done, etc...But even if you can't find it, there are plenty of other alternatives. Duplicolor is popular among the modders, as are most of the rustoleum paints. I'd suggesting testing out some colors on spare parts to see what actually gives the affect you like (make sure you prime as well of course). As far as the drives go....pop the bezel off and hose em down just the same. Although it's usually better to have conflicting colors in my opinion....i.e. black case, silver drive. You might also want to consider stealth drives in case you're worried about messing up your bezels. Stealth is when you take the 5 1/4 face plates, paint them along with the rest fo the case, and then mount them to the front of the cd rom tray. Kinda depends on what ya like tho ;)

As for the keyboards....stickers are a bad idea in my opinion. With as much use as it will get, the stickers will give in no time. Taking off the keys and painting the board itself, and leaving the keys beige or the like is the best option as far as i know. Unless you're artistic and want to hand paint letters on them??

Here's a good case/keyboard painting & modding tutorial

the final picture might give you some ideas hopefully. g'luck

Thanks SinnerWolf :). I always thought the whole drive had to be disassembed to paint them. It also never occured to me black or white would be a good combination to the others.
