How to overclock the Radeon VE? Powerstrip Beta3 didn't work

As the title says. The powerstrip beta 3 did not read the card settings correctly. I get 49.78 Mhz for the engine clock and 398.22Mhz for the mem.

I installed the 7089 drivers. Yes, I installed them without problems but is there a special way of installing them? I just ran the atisetup.exe and express installed. I did not install the MMC 7, just the drivers.

Thanks, oldfart. Was hoping someone would confirm the Mhz. I wasn't sure. Oh well, I guess overclocking wouldn't help this little crippled guy much anyways =P

is Radeon VE good in gaming?? and can u watch a DVD while u work on the other screen? ur help will be appreciative
thanks

Yeah, you can watch DVD and work on the other monitor (don't know, it might slow down depending on what you are doing and/or what scene it is?). I heard they are even working on DVD on BOTH screens (drag from one screen to another), but there's an issue with DX8 and the copyright portion of the DVD, but they might have that feature later.

Firehawk2: I don't know about gaming as I haven't gamed alot. If you read the reviews at Sharkyextreme and Anandtech, you'll get the idea. You can watch DVD and TV only on the main screen, the one you choose to be the first one(the one on the left). The DVD quality seems just like any ATI card(fast and good quality) w/o much CPU usage. I decided to test the cpu usage by opening up some explorers and do this reply on the 2nd(right side screen). Some quirks I hope they fix:
1. You cannot run any 3d Games on the 2nd monitor. Quake III Arena cannot be run w/o first turning off the right side monitor(there is an option in the display settings to turn it off.
2. You can't expand the DVD to the 2nd monitor because I suppose they run like 3d games using direct x. This also means you can't run TV or DVD on the 2nd monitor.
3. Changing one monitor's refresh rate seems to change the other monitor's refresh rate to the same rate after reboot.EDIT: it appears this only happens after shutdown. There is a handy feature that allows one to hotkey a specific setting for both monitors in the display settings.
4. Multimedia center 7(DVD player and other stuff) which comes w/ the Radeon VE is not compatible w/ the software(multimedia center) for my TV, their' own ATI TV Wonder.

Edit: Rage 3d forums are kinda hurting on the search function. I like anandtech's better, plus the colors are easier to read.
