Hi have just bought a Intel Core Duo e7650 2.66GHz with a aBit 755 Fatality MoBo flashed to the latest v14 Bios. I have a Atric Freezer 7 Pro with Cosiar 4-4-4-12 800mhz memory.

I would like to overclock this CPU have had a good look through the BIOS but not much luck so far. Its stock it is FSB 1333mHz x8, CPU core V 1.35 & cpu vvt 1.20v

TIA, James

Yes I have read this before but if someone can point me in the right direction. I have increased the FSB in small steps but it very quickly hangs the system. The cooling solution is well recommended and the memory should be just fine.

I have over clocked all my other system for the last 15 years but this one does not seem to want to go. I have tried many different combinations for the FSB V CPUM but all after it get beyond 2.8 just hangs/crashes etc.

Do these require more voltage? I am new to Intel last time I owned one was a 286 sx 25!

Most likely yes, I was having the exact same problem...

Bumped my memory voltage up from 1.9v to 2.2v to the manufacturers recommended voltage (for some reason my mobo wasn't doing it), after doing this, my bandwidth and latency improved signifigantly...

Then I bumped VTT FSB Voltage up by 12%

Then I bumped my VCORE up by one increment over stock setting...

Now I'm getting no more system hangs... Jut got it to work today, also no errors on Prime95 or memtest86+

dont mess with vtt, it causes more instability then stability, just use stock vtt at 1.2 and change vcore, dram and nbvolts, thats it
