hi, oc gurus,

I got a cheap box Athlon 1.3Ghz(200fsb)(AXIA Y). I was told by my friends that was a bad choice though it's cheap. I didn't quite understand that well. Now I am trying to overclock it but no idea how to set it. There is few info online about oc 1.30Ghz Athlon. The MOBO i am using is Iwill kk266. Appreciate any kind of help.

The only problem you have in being able to overclock that chip and run it on 133+MHz fsb, is that it will read the default multiplier of 13 x and try and load it there initially.

13 x 133=1729. That means that CPU would have to be able to post at 1729! It's probably not gonna happen.

Here is what to try. Pencil all of the L6 bridges. That will make the board read it as 11x multiplier. Now you are asking it to post at 1463, which is more realistic.

Once it will post, I personally would try it at 10 x 140 or 10.5 x 133. If that works, then you will just try and take it as high as you can, while still maintaining stability. You might need up to 1.85v. Also, make sure you have a good heatsink.

The real problem is not that the 1.3 AXIA is a bad chip, but that it can't post at the high multiplier / fsb.

I think if you will try connecting the L6 bridges, it might be as good as many 1.33 266fsb chips.

Hope this makes sense. :)
