I have a X1010EA (european version) and i can't output to my tv... i tried several cables that came with other graphic cards and there are 2 problems: when i use some the tv doesn't appear as connected in the Ati drivers, others only output @ black and white....
I tried in 2 tv's with the same results, the 2 cables that work but b&w are: s-video (4 pin) -> Scart, s-video (4-pin) -> RCA (yellow stuff).
The port in the X1010 has 7 pins so i guess there should be a proprietary cable that uses 7 pins to convert to RCA or Scart that my tv's accept???
I also heard that if my TV doesn't support s-video i need to convert the signal to composite ?!? What's the difference between RCA and composite?
Note: i tried NTCS, PAL, several resolutions, Omega drivers, etc,etc,etc
Anyone has a cable that WORKS doing this kind of tv output? if so can you post pics or tell where to buy (european stores) ?? thanks in advance. If you don't have X1000 but other compaq notebook with 7 pin s-video your help could also be useful...
I'm guessing it's not the notebook that it's broken but i'm not using the correct cable but: what is the correct cable (and HP sells it?)????
