How to optimize my memory?

I'm not sure if that model of NUC even supports running memory @3000Mhz at all. Are Intel's NUCs capable of being overclocked?

Yes, the NUC8i7HVK is unlocked for overclocking. I think I need to change the XMP profile or something

I stand corrected then. It does sound like you will need to adjust the XMP profile, but I'm not an expert on overclocking.

Did it RAM end up working well? Have read about G.Skill requiring a visit to BIOS in order to enable XMP and possible set timings. Moreover, heard from a Hades owner that he wasn't able to get the timings right (on G.Skill 3000 RAM).

I'm getting this NUC soon and (wanting to maximize 1440p gaming without overclocking CPU&GPU because of the excessive noise it would make) and choosing the RAM is giving me headaches. Could get Crucial value RAM (2400) for 110 euros but it'd be only 30-50 euros more for this G.Skill (which has great specs) or for HyperX 3200. I'm told the sweet spot is currently at 2800-3000.
