How to open a bottle of beer the Scandanavian way

It took me a while to figure that one out, but I've got it now. I wanna learn how to open it on the edge of a table, where you just put the cap on the edge and hit the top of the bottle.

I saw that in Maxim and tried it, but I did it wrong - I put the lip under the other lip.

I've used the edge of a counter in the past.

It's easy, but its a good way to mar the edge of your counters and such.

I've forgot how to do it everytime I tried until last time when I remembered, always f'n up and getting berr everrywhere

i usually use a bic lighter.. same technique.. ive opened a few with my belly button.. that hurts tho, can only do after finishing the 1st sixer

We used to have contests at work where someone would challenge another person to open a beer with any random object. Markers, staplers, pen cups... If there is suficient leverage and the object in question is hard enough, I can open a beer with anything.

Thats correct you can open a beer with a rolled up phonebook - just about anything that provides a reasonably hard edge - even if just once ;)

Back when, I used to use the strike plate on the door frame.


You can also use the edge of the metal at the base of the steering wheel on old GMs.
