With my old ti4600 it was simple - i unlocked hidden features and there was 2 sliders in settings, one for memory frq one for processor.
Now i have 9700 pro and have no idea how to oc it.

Any input appreciated.

I have a program called Radclocker which works in the background to O/C my radeon 9700...I got it from rage3d.com...off a link in the forums...

I prefer this to the various tweaker programs b/c I like to use Omega drivers which are optimized for quality not benches and the tweakers can cause issues....

go to www.rage3d.com

also the radeon 9700 do not o/c lot in many cases but as always YMMV.....most find memory maxes out at aroun 330 and core is very variable....

Do a search on my member name in Video.

Video forum is where you want to be.

Cheers, ... happy overclocking!

Oh ... and check my AMDbox for a tip on my 9700.

wow... thats a nice OC!

Is that stock? (no cooling modifications?)

Oh .. and a word of advice... your VC performance my be comprimized. Did you run benchmarks along the way?

Cuz, just because it can run that high doesnt mean its running optimal.

Start with memory 1st. make a benchmark at stock speeds using 3dmark or code creatures or whatever....

then slowly increase your clock until the marks peak... After a point the scores will drop.
Do the same with the Core.

I advise you to re-evaluate your overclock... you may burn up that nice card.

will do. thanks for the word of advice.
i bought this card with memory heatsinks already glued on so that helps as well.

hopefully not literally "glued on" hehe
frag tape?
thermal epoxy?
or "thermal paste with little bit of superglue" ?
