how to network ibook to win nt workgroup?

My office recently bought an iBook to test our software. However, I don't know how to network it so I can access our Win Nt4 Server. I have the IP and DNS set up. I can access the internet, but no filesharing. Btw, it's Mac OS 9.1. Also have OS x, but it's not installed.

I know not many people here own Macs, but any help would be appreciated. 🙂

You'll need to install the Apple/Macintosh File services (in the services tab of the network control panel). Or use a product like Dave on the Ibook to allow it to see the Windows shares. The final option is to run an FTP server on the server, and have the Ibook ftp in, but that's a pain in the butt.

Yeah, the NT server will either need to run appletalk file services, PC MacLAN, or you will need to install either DAVE or Connectix's DoubleTalk (I like that one more 🙂) to allow the mac to see the PC side of your network.
