how to mute internal speaker in KDE?

My workstation at work has an internal speaker - it's not just a PC speaker that can only beep, it's a real speaker that must be connected to the soundcard. Is there a way to completely mute this thing? I went to Sound and Video -> Volume Control, but everything on that menu is already listed as muted, even though that internal speaker is clearly not muted.

How can I disable this thing? Since this is a work computer, I do not have admin access.
