How to Move the retaining clip on a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

OK, I feel like a dumbass here. I have to move the lever on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro to the other side due to my Asus A8N-E motherboard. I removed the screw, took off the 2 steel plates, that leaves the retaining clip to be removed and put back on the other way. How does that come off? I can force it off, not going to do that, so what's the trick to it?

OK OK OK....I got it, you snap off the fan to provide clearance to remove the clip. I love the way the instructions don't mention that....
