How to move all emails from Hotmail to other account?

Co-worker of mine signed up with hotmail years ago with the china hotmail. I've realized that hotmail accounts outside don't get the 250mb upgrade.

I tried changing the address in account profile but it didn't do anything. Is there a way to forward emails from hotmail to another account? (without clicking into every one of them and click forward?)

thanks. i tried searching in hotmail but it wasn't helpful.

sign up for MSN premium for one month, setup Hotmail in Outlook or Outlook express, then highlight, click and drag from hotmail portion to inbox.

voila. then you can cancel msn premium account.

check in the hotmail options, my dad does it so there is a way

i tried the "help" thing, and it tells me there should be a forwarding function. however i don't see anything remotely similar to that.

and platinum gold nice suggestion... but that would be too much work =(

I think there's programs that are meant to check your hotmail and then forward them to pop mail based services. Named something like hotpopper I think.

If your co-worker is going to switch email account, I really don't see the wisdom of going back to Hotmail..

FWIW it did take me a while but my permanent switch from Hotmail to Gmail as my primary was worth all the trouble. Gmail

this is what you need:

Increase your Hotmail inbox to 250MB!

If your hotmail storage is only 2MB and you don't know when it will be enlarged by M$, here is a trick to do it by yourself:

1. Sign in hotmail, click "Options" on the up-right corner, click "My Profile" under "Personal" tab. Then update your "Country/Region" to "United States", select "New York" in "State", type "10009" in "ZIP code" (any other US state & correct zip code also works here), update your profile.

2. Sign in .NET Passport with your hotmail account, click "Member Service" on top, click "Close my .NET Passport account". Don't worry, you can reactivate your account in next step with all existing mails reserved. But remember to do next step right after this step, at least in the same day!

3. Sign in hotmail again with your hotmail account, the system will remind you to activate your account, just follow the instruction to activate it. You now have a 25MB hotmail.

4. Sign out your hotmail and sign in again. If you are as lucky as me, you will find your hotmail is 250MB now! If your hotmail remains 25MB, don't be depressed. Use it daily and pray, then it should be increased to 250MB in days

5. When you got the 250MB hotmail, you can repeat step 1 to restore your own country information. Just relax, the storage won't be shrunk after that

it works as long as the zip code and city matches up... for example

New York NY 10001
Rochester NY 14623
