How to monitor video card temperature

I'm trying to do some basic overclocking of my Radeon 9800 NP to Pro speeds and was looking for a program that will display the card's temperature.

The only ATI cards that have temp monitoring ability are the XT cards and the Tyan Tachyon G9500/9700/9800 cards...AFAIK

yeah withouh the phyisical temperature sensor on the card there is no way u can get a reading with any software.

u could buy a senor and jus tape it to the back of the card......where the chip is, and then have that connected to a digital read out or something

but only Tyan's cards and the XT's have on board temp senors as said above
