So at home I have a beastly FIOS with 25mbps upload but I seemingly can never use all that upload. When I'm at school with my 15mbps download, I remote desktop to my home computer and can only pull about 5mbps(~600KB/s).
I also run a hamachi logmein VPN and through the network on there, I can only pull about 2mbps(~200KB/s).
I also run a FTP server on my home computer and can never pull more than 600KB/s either.
When I'm on torrent, I can upload 3MB/s easily. Why would out of all things, torrent be able to maximize my bandwidth?
Maybe it's because it's uploading in multiple streams rather than one at a time?
