How to manually install a SCSI driver?

Never done this one before...

I boot from a SCSI drive. When I installed W2K, I had the SCSI drivers on a floppy, I hit F6 during the install and all is well.

I have a NEW SCSI adapter and I want to just install it, replacing the current SCSI adapter. Problem is that Windows might not recognize the new adapter, and if it doesn't, then I can't boot to get into Windows to install the new drivers. (make sense? 😕 ). The new and old adapters are made by the same company (LSI) so it MIGHT see it...

I have the new drivers...but there's no .exe to get it to install itself. How do I get the drivers into the OS so I can boot from the adapter?

Lets get this straight.

You aren't reinstalling windows, you just want to switch adapters.

What I would do it plug the new adapter into a different PCI slot and boot windows. Give it the drivers for the new adapter, then shut down, and change which one I have the HD plugged into.

That's what I thought. I wanted to see if someone agreed with my madness. Thanks Sideswipe001. 🙂
