Hi all,

Is there a setting where I can make my windows open maximized
by default?

I'm using Windows XP Pro.

My computer has taken to opening windows in smaller than
maximum size and it bugs me. 🙂

Thanks,
Jim

Talking about IE?

Drag it to the size you want (don't use the maximize button) and hold CTRL while you hit the X in the upper right hand corner. That will make it remember. Other programs depend on how the person who coded it decided to do it.

IE is a problem....thanks I'll try your technique.....but it seems that
other windows start smaller than fully maximized.

On many shortcuts, you can right click and go to the properties, from there you select the dropdown box 'Run', and choose Maximized.

If your IE shortcut doesnt have that option, create a new one manually, and try the above.
