how to make website video links open up in media player 6.4 in XP?

I absolutely despise media player 7 and now 8 in XP.. bloated crap with many useful features taken away, not to mention u can only have 1 video playing at a time.. I exclusively use WMP 6.4 (mediaplayer2.exe) to view videos offline, but I cant find in IE or WMP settings in XP to make it so when I click a link on a website to a video to have it open in 6.4, it always opens up in 8

win explorer | tools | folder options
find the various extensions you wish to change like MPE, MPEG, MPG, MPV2, etc.
highlight it then hit ADVANCED | EDIT

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /Open "%L"

change to
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer2.exe" /Open "%L"
