How to make the text on this forum bigger?

I just got a Dell 2000FP and with the 1600 x 1200 resolution the text on this and many other forums is very small, even though I have set IE for bigger fonts. Is there any way to change this? Should I use a different browser?
Also, the text is burry. I have clear type enabled but that didn't really help much. I'm using an analog cable right now, but have a DVI on the way. That may help. Is there anything else I can do for that?
Thanks. 🙂

Hold control and use your scroll wheel.
Only works for me on Firefox, not IE. Think AT CSS locked it for IE.

My recommendation: use a smaller resolution like 1028x768. You don't want to go blind. The only time I raise it higher than that is for webdev when I need a lot of screen space.

I think you'll find that many web sites don't work well at 1600x1200. I learned that a long time ago, and now only work at 1280x1024. Sure the huge desktop is good for things like designing web sites and doing graphics work, but other than that, I have no need for it.

Even with the large font theme, this site is useless in IE @ 1600 X 1200. Try Firefox. And they don't care either.

i view the site often at work where I have dual 21" monitors running 1600x1200. looks fine to me.

Your eyes are in better shape than mine evidently.

Tools > internet options > accessibility > check "Ignore font styles specified on web pages" and "ignore font sizes specified on web pages" (the size one is the one you're really asking about though)

Then view > text size > whatever
