How to make the status bar permanently appear?

quick question.

in WinXP Pro, when you open a window, you can click "View--->Status Bar" This is true with the IE Browser as well.

My default setup is not showing it until I enable it. I'd like it to be enabled all the time, but can't seem to find the option anywhere.

can someone please help?

OMG...I didnt know there was a way to fix this. I cant stand not having the status bar.

Now if only I could figure out why when my XP Pro boots up, the Language bar is always opened on my taskbar.
