How to make the rear windows of a 96 tahoe go down further?

I have a 1996 Tahoe...4 door. And the windows in the back wont roll down more then like 5 or 6 inches or so. That's how its supposed to be, for like child safety or something like that. Does anyone know if there is a way to take off the lock or whatever so they will roll down all the way? It is really annoying for my passengers in the back and I would just like it better if they would roll all the way down! Any help is appreciated! Merry X-mas!

look at how the rear door is shaped... there is no place for the window to go when rolled down further, at least that is what I remeber from when my old roommate had a Tahoe

look at how the rear door is shaped... there is no place for the window to go when rolled down further.

Exactly, that child safety story is a load of garbage. The door just can't physically have anymore of the window shoved down into it, the wheel well gets in the way.
