how to make the desktop wallpaper not stretch to fit?

right click on your desktop -> select PROPERTIES -> BACKGROUND tab

Somewhere there you should be able to select how you want your wallpaper to fit, whether it's tiled, stretched or centered. It's a drop down in Windows 2000 and I believe it's a drop down in 98 as well.

What operating system are you using?

In NT4, it's under the Plus! tab of display properties and is a checkbox...

I could tell you exactly in NT4 and Win2K, but don't recall where in Win98.

But i DO KNOW, it is in Display Properties and it's called 'stretch to fit'. Usually in the Plus! tab.
