Hi folks;

I'm currently living at a student room where we don't have a wireless network point. Only Lan (don't ask me why).
I've told my roommate (which is monitoring network activity?!) i'm running linux ubuntu. I'm thinking about placing a wireless network router on my lan cable (the only cable there is). So my phone, laptop and tablet will also work with internet (they're completely useless now).

So in short;
What network device should I take to:
- make the roommate think it's a PC

I still have a Linksys WRT54G, could I use this thing for this? If yes; what system should I flash it with?

Hope you guys can help me out! Also very curious if the WRT54G will do the job.

Most Univer. do not allow Routers in the Students' rooms.

Lying to your roommate for you own benefit is Not amusing either.

The roommate is some kind of psychopath, I just want my internet on phone ! and so does the other person in this house
