How to make Remote Desktop resolution different than physical

I have a WinXP computer I use as a server tucked in my launry room. It has a 15" monitor attached, with best resolution 1024X768. The VGA card there is able to go higher, but not the CRT.

I usually access this PC via XP's Remote Desktop. I get the same 1028X768 as a window on my controlling computer's 1600X1200 desktop.

If I go to Control Panel/Display/Settings via the Remote Desktop, I cannot change the desktop resolution. Is it possible to get full screen 1600X1200 on the controlling desktop?

When you launch remote desktop, click on options then the diplay tab to set the resolution before you connect.
