how to make powerdvd 4.0 Xp to be free region

Go to InMatrix. Download DVDGenie which will allow you to change the region of your software player. You can set it up to be the default application to start up and automatically adjust the region when you insert a DVD. However changing the software region is not enough. You also have to get a region-free firmware patch for your DVD-ROM. There are patches out there for just about every available model. Remember, though, to be very careful when messing with the firmware. You COULD break your DVD-ROM in the process if you do not follow the instructions to the t. For example, some drives need to be connected as Secondary master in order for the firmware upgrade program to work.

<EDIT>Inmatrix also has links to firmware pages.</EDIT>
