how to make one international call?

maybe a couple calls but not more. I tried msn messenger but the PC-to-landline service is unavailable. Maybe I will try skype but I am under the impression that I need to sign up for their monthly plan.

Any idea where I can look for the service?

Your phone plan will probably let you for some crazy high rate. The easiest thing to do is get an international calling "card" from a website. You'll pay like $20 and get a phone number and a pin number to use.

No monthly with skype. Just give them $10. Be sure to check prices though because sometimes calling mobiles are like 5 times as much as calling landlines. I love skype I live by it when I'm traveling.
