How to make my dvd drive region free ?

I just bought a benq dw1610 dvdrw ... may i how to make it into a region free dvd drive ? Is there any firmware i can download ?

in order to make it region free you need to find a hacked firmware and flash the firmware onto your DVD. This isn't totally safe though so be warned.

Yup, I put the hacked firmware in my dvd-rw and it made it region free.

emm look like alot of ppl have problem with this drive to read dvd-r media ... and this drive does not support DL write . Well i guess i will return this and get NEC instead.

wat i mean is this dvd rw have compatible problem on dvd -r media ....
