how to make mousewheel work in games?

i have an old logitech mouseman+ optical and have the mouseware software installed. when even i play games the wheels doesn't work. i suspect its the mouseware. does anybody have a solution?

Uninstall Mouseware.

i like mouseware because it lets me assign the thumb and wheel button

Yeah. Make sure you're using the latest Mouseware from the Logitech website. I haven't had problems with my mouse wheel in games for a few years now.
