How to make Maya to use my max. memory? Urgent! Maya users!

I have 1gb and 128mb memory on my system. that's a lot of memorym but the maya 4.5 doesn't use most of its memory. How come? Is there some tweaks to make most my memory on the Maya?


Maya users!!! I want to know how to make it faster. How did you setup your computer. I'm just new to this Maya thing for my sister. What is the best setup?

My system is
Xeon 2.0 533mhz
1gb+128mb pc2100 sdram
Windows XP Pro

anyone with similar setup, how did you make yours faster???

yes, I understand what you're saying but it uses much less memory from what I've expected and whatever I work with it.

Is there any configuraton on Maya software?
