Best story ever.

Student gets sh1t drunk the night before an exam.
Student ends up in Hospital with alcohol poisoning.
Student calls professor to tell him he can't come in for an exam the next day.
Professor laughs and fails stupidass student.

People are fvcking stupid.

If he called from the hospital, I'd have the professor's ass in a sling. That's an excuseable absence (hospital).

Except for his reason for being in the hospital.

While I'm sure the student could have fought it and had the chance to take the test, maybe even the professor getting in serious trouble, but honestly, binge drinking yourself into the hospital is not an excusable absence.

If you're in the hospital, that's it. I don't have to tell you why I was in the hospital.

i disagree.

thats like saying you can get out of class because you went to a funeral, and the funeral wasn't even a close family member or anyone you even knew. if it was your mom's funeral you had to go to, thats a different story. but if its a stranger, then no, you have no excuse to miss class for it.

either way, you are going to a funeral. just as in this situation, either way, you are going to a hospital.

its good he failed that dumbass.

Actually, both of you are wrong because both of you are not thinking outside of the box. The professor AND the student are both at fault. A reasonable student should not get sh1tfaced drunk and have to be hospitalized the night before an exam. A reasonable professor NEVER requires the reason a person was in the hospital because medical information is private information. Both were being unreasonable. Either, the student should not have been sh!tfaced drunk or the professor should not have deemed it his responsibility to verify why the student was in the hospital. If the information was volunteered by the student, the student is 100% at fault and the professor is being reasonable. Either way, the student is more at fault because the student's actions ultimately prevented him from taking the exam.

Um... best way i've found to rid myself of a hangover is to drink a bit the next day. You usually want to drink beer. It takes about 8 beers to get me really drunk, so I drink like 3 to get a light buzz and poof hangover is gone.

it really depends, is the hangover bad? if you aren't dry heaving/puking then Gatorade/Powerade and Advil would do the trick. maybe a multivitamin. non-drowsy dramamine might help

Whoo, I survived. In fact I was more attentive today than ever before, with the hangover/4 hours of sleep behind me...

Avoid the condintions that generate one.:frown:

Or just into and cold pool before any classes. That usually can leave a hangover on top of the water.:p
