How to make free-standing mount for PC case fan?

I bought an Antec NSK4400 and the temps on the drives are running a bit warm. The 80mm fan mount doesn't go in front of the drives, and I can't install a fan between the metal and plastic bezel. I was thinking of putting a 120mm fan on the floor of the case using velcro, but I need to raise it up a bit. What can I use to add height but keep it stable while running?

Fan

The sides are open on this fan so all you need to do is attach the top on the bottom of the case. The sides of the fan are open so air gets sucked in though the sides and pushes air to the top.

Its better then mickeymousing a mount. Personally if u had a dremel, you could cut open a section on the bottom and attach a regular fan that way. But i dont think u would ask this question if you knew how to work a dremel. :p

And yes that fan i liked you to is VERY QUIET. I have 2 in a case, and there quiter then my yates at same voltages.

I actually do have a dremel but I don't want to cut this case up like my last one, Antec SLK3700AMB and have strange side effects. That fan looks pretty good.

i'll vouch for it being quiet and efficient.

Also i have a small 80 in a SFF mounted on side with velcro. It doesnt vibrate very much because of it, and its quiet, and it pulls the air from the sides and blows it sideways.

I notice that the fan only blows from grill side to flat side. How would I mount it with velcro upside down? I was thinking maybe get some styrofoam and make rectangular pieces and have it stand on that.

Mount the Velco at the circle base on the fan.

Have the Base point up. Since the sides are open, it draws air from the sides instead of from the bottom.

My Antec only has a 80mm front fan.

To compensate for the lack of intake from the front, I dangled a 120mm fan from the empty drive bay directly behind the mounted 80mm fan and it helps substantially to compensate for that lack of air push.

I didnt make a wind tunnel between the two fans, but if I did I bet I could get much better results.

It's kind of mcgyver'ed, I've got it hanging by two twisty ties in the mounting holes for the empty hard drive bay.

Look at that image, you see the rubber inlets for the bottom most drive bay? I am dangling a 120mm fan from those inlets with two twisty ties

A pretty unair efficient case if youa sk me, but it helps, especially with the video card

I got one of my hard drives in the bottom 3.5" bay cool by taking my 120mm fan and angling it near the bottom intake and held in place with 2 pieces of velcro and laying on the 80mm fan cage. Problem is now my upper hard drive is consistently 4 C higher. I tried placing a 92mm fan into a bay either below or above the drive, but it's not a good solution. Are there any brackets that screw into the bay that you can mount a 92mm fan in? Wouldn't even have to have an opening to the outside, as I would just blow the hot air into the case and exhaust it.
