how to make Firefox look less ugly in Windows?

It's been a while now that FF looks like this in windows:

What terrible crap ass design. Who the hell shoves the menu options INSIDE the title bar, and then makes the title bar so wide? They butcherd it so badly. Thankfully it's not like that in Linux, but I still have to deal with Windows some times.

I used to use Classic Theme Restorer to fix it, but it seems that extension is not available for Firefox 43 and up. I guess they got tired of having to update it so often with Firefox fast major version updates.

Any other extensions that might make it look normal?

Ok that's weird, I tried again just to show a screenshot of the message I get, and now it works. It was twice now that I tried to install it on different machines and it would say it does not support my version as it was too high. But worked this time.

Its either part for Classic Theme Restorer that was linked above

or you can press ALT and it will show the menus go to View -> Toolbars -> click on Menu bar

I think by default the menu is disabled, but is you kinda need that if you want to access stuff, I don't get this whole trend of trying to remove features from programs or make stuff harder to get to. Problem is when you enable it via right click menu rather than actually having a proper menu bar it just shoves the links up there. And the tabs are also shoved in the title bar and the title bar is made bigger. It's overall a really ugly design. Thankfully with classic theme restorer you can change it back to normal though. For some reason it kept saying it was not compatible with my version but after trying a few times it worked.

Is this the look you're going for?
Right click in the menu area --> Customize --> bottom left, "Title Bar" --> Exit Customize

I don't have it installed anywhere here at work to confirm if that's the option, but basically the look I go for is the same look as any other program, you have the title bar, then below you have the menu, then below you have your tabs, then the address bar, then the bookmark bar. Super standard, but it seems they keep screwing with that. Classic Theme restorer has an option to bring that look back though. (I forget it off hand). Still annoying to have to install an extension just to get a look that should be default though. Thankfully in Linux it looks normal out of the box, it's the windows one that they butchered. When you check the box to show the menu it puts them directly inside the title bar like in my screenshot.

Here's the 2 looks you can get by toggling the "Title Bar" described above.

I've become accustom to using FF with the title bar off but at least they made it customizable so you can at least set it to your liking.
