How to make AIM ICONS!!!! HELP

Hey, does anyone know what program to use to make the AIM icons? and how do you get the transparent backround? and how do i convert them to .ico?

Make them a 30 x 30 pixel gif file, and they will work fine. As for the transparency, I am not sure about that.

you can make it however big, even jpg... as long as you keep it under 6KB. I usually do 40x40 pixel box or so

to amek a transparent background, you need to delete/hide the background layer when you export the gif in photoshop.. I am not sure how it is done in other programs

If it's less than 52x52, it will stretch the image and distort it. At least the version that was around when I was making my icon. As for transparency, in many programs you set which pallette index or color will be the transparent one.

its called gif, get to know it

I used a 50x50x pixel box and made some gradient effects and put hubbs in it and it worked fine.
