How to Make a WinXP Bootable CD??

I am trying to make a WinXP bootable CD but I'm having problems. I tried using Roxio with no luck. In Roxio, I select Floppy Emulation, insert a bootable floppy and create the cd (with WinXP files copied too). When I restart, my pc boots from the cd but I can not see or access the WinXP files (i386 dir), only the files that were on the floppy.

The reason I'm making a boot cd is because my new Compaq 6000Z didn't come with WinXP Home CD-ROM but it did have the i386 dir on the c: drive. So I'm trying to see if I can make a WinXP Home Install CD by copying the i386 dir and making the cd bootable.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks
