how to make a mobile celeron/pentium4 work on a desktop mobo?

Hi all,
I have a mobile celeron and would like to make it work on a desktop mobo. I heard all the good things on how fast you can overclock this thing. But when I stick it in a 845chip set board. It posted then shut down shortly. I then tried it on a MSI 865pe chipset. No video signal at all. Any help is appreciated!!!!
