The DC is an system.. but the titles are lacking.. and honestly.. i still like my PSX over the DC.
and i really really hate that controller... big UFO thingy..... i like something small that i can grasp.. nothing like the DC controller....
VMU well.. i could say it's a improved "pocketstation" from the PSX.. but.. i'll leave it.. since.. it may start something
the PS2 has ok launch titles... like SSX, Madden2k1, NHL2k1, UT, TimeSplitters, to name a few that have actually caught my eye... and with the "mod" chips... i can play all my old PS1 games at a higher resolution..
I have a DC myself.. and "many" games... but.. none have really got me playing for days.. like the current PSX game i'm playing : Parasite Eve II
and Seph_IX: (this is my opinion)
1/ DC is hands down winner in graphics for now.. but the best overall console had to be the PSX so far due to it's installed user base.
2/ Games are not Awesome.. they are good... well.. some of them at least.
3/ Setup is just like any console out there.
4/ Controller is my gripe (read above).. i couldn't care less where the analog is.. but i like the psx one.
5/ 4 controller ports is a null point.. we've argued about this before.. demographics lead it to have 2 ports for the PS2 where if you "really" do need more, then you have a option of buy 1 or 2 Multi-taps for up to 8 player carnage.
6/ DC - 1 GIG... PS2 = 5.6GB... Cube = 1.5GB i think... has no relevance to this topic

7/ Online strategy is only in place cuz they had a head start from all the rivals.. but the pricing and rebate... well... i really dunno how many will actually "fork" out the dough for internet gaming on the DC via modem.
The PS2 system is a system that grows as time goes on.. where developers figure out the system.. the games will be better and more innovative. and also since PS2 is headed towards a Home Entertainment direction.. there is countless expandability possibilies for the PS2.
