Ever miss your favorite CPU manufacturer when you leave your house ? if you ever leave your house? Want to carry something around that shows your unconditional support for your favorite CPU manufacturer? Well the perfect way to do so is with a CPU keychain! This guide will take though the tedious art of de-pinning, and the construction of your very own CPU keychain.

Estimated time: 1 hour.

I made one a while back out of an old Duron 850, instead of taking the pins off, i filled the area with glue and sparkles. Dried clear, looked pretty cool. I gave it away though.

im making one as we speak. But im lucky, and the cpu was really old so the pins just stuck on. I cant wait till im done.

I just ordered a 3400+ A64 and I'm thinking about doing this crazy mod to it. Anyone have any pointers? I don't get one part though. How will it stay in the socket after all the pins are removed?

🙂

that seems like a pretty good idea. Use clear epoxy as a filler. probably easier to attach a ring for attaching to a keychain too instead of drilling into the body. just remove 1-2 pins, place the loop around the pin, and have the epoxy hold it in place... of course the airbubbles...
