How would you suggest that I make a FOR SALE sign that can be used multiple times?

I have several things (lawn tractor, industrial snow blower, camper/trailer)that I want to sell (one at a time) until I get around to the final item to be sold...my house.

I plan to put the sign in my yard with the item being sold next to it.

Is there any kind of sign that I could use/make that might not cost more than a $100 to buy/build and that I won't have to throw away or repaint after I sell each item?

Thanks.

What does vinyl lettering adhere to? In other words what material does the signboard need to be?

Buy a piece of large, flat wood.

Get pieces of cardbard.

Get a marker or paint+brush

Staple cardboard to wood.

Write on cardboard with marker/paint/both/whatever.

Tear cardboard off when finished.

When you go to sell your house, but a nice sign from Lowes/Home Depot. Total cost: $20.

Board + white paint + black paint? Paint the board white, with black letters. Paint over with white again and you have a clean slate.

Coroplast. Just like cardboard, but plastic. You can get small sheets at the craft store or larger sheets at a sign company.

The larger ones are probably big enough but I want one that I can use over...after I sell one thing, then I can change the 'writing/lettering' for the next item.

Right now I'm using one of the preprinted ones with a piece of paper taped to it that has the 'details' of the item I have for sale. It works okay but still kinda cheesy.
