so we have 1 corgi. he's about 1.5 years old, very hyper, likes to jump, spoiled, 25 lbs. had him since he was a pup.

yesterday, we adopted a pom/pinscher mix, 2 years old, small, and about 5 to 6 lbs.

when we bought the new dog in, my corgi started to sniff him for a while. at first he started to bark at the new dog, unwelcoming him.....we monitored them for a while to make sure that they dont hurt eachother.

I notice that the corgi gets very jealous. he doesnt let the new dog come in the house from the back yard. when we try to call the new dog over to us, corgi immediately comes over to us first.

right now, he has a habit of just following the pom wherever he goes, and either tries to:
nibble at his feet, or nibble at his ear.

he also always trys to get on top of him most of the time. The pom is starting to get angry by showing his teeth, and now even trys to bite back or use his paw on him.

yesterday I left them alone for 5 minutes and heard screams from the pom.....

how do I get them both to get a long?? one hand, I dont want the corgi to kill the pom, but I also dont want the pom to poke the corgi's eye out.

any suggestion on how?

Tie their tails together and toss them in a closet. Winner gets to stay.

But seriously you can't make them get along. You can maybe curb the behavior of the dominant dog. Smack him real good every time he bothers the other dog. Might work, but eventually you're going to have to leave them alone and it just might not work.

Supervise their interactions for awhile. You have to let the dominate one be dominate or you will screw up their social skills. Our pinscher/chihuahua is the dominate of our two dogs.

so how do I know who is the dominant one? just let them fight and see who's on top?

Doesn't always work. One could end up dead. I've seen that happen before.
