How to Lock Windows XP?

Comes that way by default....oh wait..that's Pro.

Besides, C-A-D then L is Logoff. C-A-D then K is Lock. C-A-D then ENTER works for me. 🙂

Be sure that you have user fast switching turned off. Then you won't have the select user screen when you log on and off. That way, when you press ctrl-alt-delete, it will give you a set of options to lock, shutdown, or logoff, change password, task manager, etc.

Also, if you want it to require that you press ctrl-alt-delete to unlock it..umm...it's in the administrator tools somewhere. By default I believe that it has no setting, but you either want to disable or enable it.

Good luck.

And I don't think that either Home OR Pro come that way by default. I'm pretty sure both when reformatted have user-fast switching by default.
