How to load a secondary video card in Vista?

I have dual video cards because I run triple monitors.

In XP, I could just drag a RTHDRIBL window to a screen attached to the second video card and that particular GPU would render it. It appears to work differently in Vista. When I drag a RTHDIBL window to one of the screens attached to the secondary video card, the main card does all the work and send the data to the second video card for display only. As a result, the main card is working @ ~90% load and the secondary card is @ ~5%. I need a way to get them both at ~95%.

I want to see just how much power this comp draws under full load.

Q6600 @ 3ghz 1.325V (worst VID ever? I think so. Chip is a POS)
2xHD3870s

Watercooled.

crossfire is not an option (doesn't help RTHDRIBL). both cards are in 16x PCIE 2.0 slots.

any ideas?

Ah yes. That's not the only benchmarking program that will have that problem.

Change the default monitor to the other one.
You can do that either in Display Properties or in your BIOS (by setting the card to use for booting)

Just be careful and make sure both agree with each other. It's not a problem that will cause a failure, just that you have to have them both set correctly to get to where you want to be.
