How to load a profile for Firefox?

firefox made me make a new profile because it said the other one was in use.
but now all my favorites are gone?
anyone know? =

sigh..not a good day for me.

Copy everything from the original profile to the new one. They're stored in something like ~/.firefox/random_letters/profile_name. I think. If you reboot, or restart firefox it should fix the "profile in use" thing.

i think i only got the 'profile in use' because the window froze and i forced closed it so then i tried to open a new firefox and it gave me that profile thing and i proceeded to start a new one but all my faves are gone...now i don't know how to get it back...
i just tried looking for the ~/.firefox/random_letters/profile_name - and i can't find it.
doh!

Off the top of my head, I'm guessing you're using Windows. If you are, that should read something like: c:/documents and settings/username/Application data/firefox .
